Table Management Overview

View and manage all tables in your restaurant.

The Table Screen

The table management screen shows your restaurant's floor plan with real-time status for each table.

Accessing Tables

  1. Tap "Tables" in the bottom navigation
  2. Or say "Hey Maximus, show tables"

Understanding Table Status

Each table shows its current status with colors:

AvailableGreenEmpty and ready
SeatedBlueGuests seated, waiting to order
OrderedYellowOrder placed, food being prepared
ServedPurpleFood delivered
Check PresentedOrangeBill given, waiting for payment
Needs CleaningRedGuests left, needs bussing
ReservedGray with clockUpcoming reservation

Table Information

Tap any table to see details:

GuestsCurrent guest count
ServerAssigned server name
Time SeatedHow long guests have been there
Current OrderOrder summary and status

Quick Actions

From the table detail view:

New OrderStart taking order for this table
View OrderSee current order details
TransferMove order to different table
MergeCombine with another table
Print CheckPrint bill for guests
CloseMark as available

Seating Guests

From the Host Stand

  1. Go to Tables screen
  2. Find an available (green) table
  3. Tap the table
  4. Tap "Seat Guests"
  5. Enter number of guests
  6. Table turns blue (Seated)

Assigning a Server

If auto-assignment is off:

  1. Tap the seated table
  2. Tap "Assign Server"
  3. Select from available servers
  4. Server receives notification

Transferring Tables

To move guests to a different table:

  1. Tap the current table
  2. Tap "Transfer"
  3. Select the new table
  4. Confirm transfer
  5. Order and tab move automatically

Merging Tables

For large parties across multiple tables:

  1. Tap the first table
  2. Tap "Merge"
  3. Select additional tables to merge
  4. Tables are now linked
  5. Orders combine into single check

Unmerging

  1. Tap the merged table group
  2. Tap "Unmerge"
  3. Choose how to split the orders

Switching Views

Tap the view icon in the top-right corner.


Filtering Tables

By Status

  1. Tap "Filter" at top
  2. Select status(es):
    • Available only
    • Needs attention
    • My tables

By Section

  1. Tap section tabs at top
  2. Options: All, Patio, Main, Bar, Private

Table Timing

Turn Time

Each table shows elapsed time since seating:

  • Green time - Normal range
  • Yellow time - Getting long
  • Red time - Over target

Troubleshooting

Table shows wrong status

  1. Tap the table
  2. Manually update status
  3. If stuck, ask manager to reset

Can't seat table
