Configuring Sensor Location
After adding, configure the sensor:
- Name: Descriptive name (e.g., "Walk-in Freezer #1")
- Location: Where sensor is installed
- Equipment Type: Freezer, cooler, ambient, etc.
- Alert Thresholds: Min/max safe temperatures
- Reading Interval: How often to report (1-60 min)
Placement Best Practices
| Equipment | Sensor Placement | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Walk-in Cooler | Center, at product level | Not near door or cooling unit |
| Walk-in Freezer | Center, away from evaporator | Avoid ice buildup areas |
| Reach-in | Middle shelf, center | Not on door shelves |
| Prep Table | Near food storage wells | Monitor during service |
| Hot Holding | Near product | Above food level |
