Accessing Settings

  1. Log in as manager
  2. Go to Settings in navigation
  3. Select the category

Location Settings

Changes Affect Live Orders

Changing location settings like hours, address, or phone number updates immediately across all customer-facing channels. Active orders in progress may be affected if you change critical settings during service hours.

Configure basic info:

  • Restaurant name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Operating hours
  • Tax rates

Payment Settings

Configure payment handling:

  • Accepted payment types
  • Tip suggestions (18%, 20%, 22%)
  • Auto-gratuity rules
  • Receipt options

Table Settings

Configure your floor:

  • Table layout
  • Section definitions
  • Server assignments
  • Table turn targets

Printer Settings

Configure hardware:

  • Receipt printer
  • Kitchen printers by station
  • Ticket format

Staff Roles

Define permissions:

  • What each role can access
  • Manager approval requirements
  • Void/comp limits

Notification Settings

Configure alerts and notifications:

Tax Configuration

Set up tax rates for your location:

  1. Go to Settings > Taxes
  2. Add tax rates by type:
    • Sales tax - Standard rate
    • Alcohol tax - If applicable
    • Takeout tax - May differ from dine-in
  3. Set tax-inclusive pricing if needed
  4. Configure tax exemptions

Troubleshooting

Settings Not Saving

  1. Check internet connection
  2. Verify manager permissions
  3. Look for validation errors
  4. Try refreshing the page

Printer Not Appearing

  1. Verify printer is powered on
  2. Check network connection
  3. Re-run printer discovery
  4. Restart the printer

Tax Calculations Wrong

  1. Verify tax rate percentages
  2. Check item tax categories
  3. Review tax-inclusive settings
  4. Contact support if needed

Best Practices
