Your First Login

This guide walks you through logging in for the first time.

What You Need

Before you start, get these from your manager:

  • Your employee ID (like MGR01 or SRV02) OR email address
  • A temporary PIN or instructions to set one

Step 1: Open the App

  1. Find the Restaurant Revolution app on your device
  2. Tap to open

Step 2: Select Your Location

If your organization has multiple locations:

  1. You'll see a list of restaurants
  2. Tap your location
  3. If you only work at one location, it may be selected automatically

Step 3: Enter Your Credentials

Option A: Employee ID Login

  1. Tap "Employee ID"
  2. Enter your ID (e.g., SRV01)
  3. Enter your 6-digit PIN
  4. Tap "Login"

Option B: Email Login

  1. Tap "Email"
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Enter your 6-digit PIN
  4. Tap "Login"

Step 4: Set Up Biometric Login (Optional)

After your first successful login:

  1. You may be asked: "Enable fingerprint/Face ID?"
  2. Tap "Yes" to enable quick login
  3. Follow your device's prompts

Benefits of biometric login:

  • Faster clock-in during shifts
  • No need to remember your PIN
  • Secure - only you can log in

Step 5: Complete Your Profile

Some restaurants require you to:

  • Confirm your display name
  • Add a profile photo (optional)
  • Set notification preferences

Troubleshooting

"Invalid credentials" error

Possible CauseSolution

"Account locked" message

Account Lockout

Too many failed login attempts will lock your account for security. Wait 15 minutes before trying again, or ask your manager to unlock your account immediately.

  1. Wait 15 minutes, then try again
  2. OR ask your manager to unlock your account
  3. OR contact support

"Location access denied"

You may not have permission for this location.

  1. Verify you selected the correct location
  2. Ask your manager to add you to this location's staff list

Multiple Locations

If you work at multiple restaurants:

  1. After login, tap your profile icon
  2. Select "Switch Location"
  3. Choose your new location
  4. You'll stay logged in with your same PIN

Security Tips

PIN Security

Never share your PIN with coworkers. Your PIN is tied to your identity -- any transactions processed under your PIN are your responsibility, including voids, comps, and cash handling.

What's Next?

Now that you're logged in:

Changing Your PIN

After your first login, you may want to change your PIN:

  1. Tap your profile icon (top right)
  2. Go to Settings > Security
  3. Tap Change PIN
  4. Enter current PIN
  5. Enter new 6-digit PIN
  6. Confirm new PIN
  7. Tap Save

PIN requirements:

  • Must be 6 digits
  • Cannot be sequential (123456)
  • Cannot be repeated (111111)
  • Cannot match your employee ID

Session Management

Automatic Logout

For security, the app automatically logs you out:

Manual Logout

  1. Tap your profile icon
  2. Tap Log Out
  3. Confirm when prompted

When to log out:

  • Leaving a shared device
  • End of your shift
  • Letting someone else use the device

Quick Login (After First Time)

Once set up, logging in is fast:

With Biometrics

  1. Open app
  2. Tap the fingerprint/Face ID icon
  3. Authenticate
  4. You're in!

With PIN

  1. Open app
  2. Enter 6-digit PIN
  3. Tap Login

With Employee ID Card (if enabled)

  1. Open app
  2. Scan your employee badge
  3. Automatically logged in
