Digital Signage & Menu Boards

Your menu boards should work as hard as your staff. The Digital Signage module turns any screen into a dynamic, revenue-generating marketing tool. Best of all, it stays in perfect sync with your POS—no more "Sold Out" stickers on TV screens.

Feature Overview

  • Integrated Menus: Menu items pull photos and prices directly from your master catalog.
  • Auto-86 Sync: If you mark a burger "Sold Out" on the POS, it disappears from the menu board instantly.
  • Daypart Scheduling: Automatically switch from "Morning Coffee" to "Happy Hour" playlists based on time of day.

Managing Content

Creating a Playlist

  1. Go to Marketing > Digital Signage > Playlists.
  2. Click Create Playlist.
  3. Add Media: Drag and drop images or videos (e.g., "Burger Promo Video").
  4. Add Menu Boards: Select a "Smart Menu" layout. Choose which Categories to display (e.g., "Draft Beers").
  5. Reorder: Drag items to define the sequence. Set duration for static slides (e.g., 10 seconds).

Scheduling Guidelines (Dayparts)

You don't need to manually change inputs. Set it and forget it:

  1. Navigate to Schedules.
  2. Define your Time Blocks:
    • Breakfast: 6:00 AM - 11:00 AM
    • Lunch: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
    • Dinner: 4:00 PM - Close
  3. Assign a Playlist to each block for every screen.
  4. The system handles the transition automatically.

Device Management

Registering a New Screen

  1. Open the Olympus Signage App on the TV device (Android TV, FireStick, or Chromebit).
  2. A 6-digit Pairing Code will appear.
  3. In the Admin Portal, go to Hardware > Signage.
  4. Click Add Screen, enter the code, and name it (e.g., "Bar TV 1").

Troubleshooting Status

The dashboard shows the live health of every screen:

  • Green Dot: Online and playing.
  • Yellow Dot: Downloading new content.
  • Red Dot: Offline. Check Wi-Fi connection.
