Gennie: AI Business Assistant
Gennie is your 24/7 business analyst and operations assistant. Instead of clicking through reports or settings, you can simply ask Gennie questions or give commands in plain English (or via Voice).
Accessing Gennie
Gennie is available throughout the Manager Portal and Mobile App:
- Desktop: Click the ✨ icon in the bottom-right corner.
- Mobile: Tap the microphone icon or the "Ask Gennie" bar.
- Voice: On supported devices, say "Hey Gennie".
Capabilities
1. Conversational Analytics
Ask complex questions about your data without building custom reports.
- "How were sales last Friday compared to the Friday before?"
- "What is my top-selling item this month?"
- "Show me labor cost percentage for the last 3 hours."
- "Why is food cost high this week?" (Gennie will analyze inventory adjustments, waste logs, and supplier prices to find the root cause).
2. Operational Commands
Execute tasks without navigating menus.
- "86 the Calamari for tonight." (Marks item as out of stock).
- "Update the lunch special price to $12.99."
- "Open the patio section."
- "Approve shift swap for Sarah."
3. Predictive Insights
Gennie proactively alerts you to anomalies or opportunities.
- Labor Alerts: "You are approaching overtime for 3 staff members. I recommend cutting 2 servers by 3 PM."
- Inventory Anomalies: "Usage of Mozzarella is 20% higher than sales variance suggests. Potential theft or over-portioning detected."
- Weather Impact: "Heavy rain forecast for tomorrow. I suggest reducing prep pars by 15%."
Integration with Real-Time Data
Gennie uses the ClickHouse Analytics Engine to provide answers in milliseconds. Unlike traditional chatbots that use cached data, Gennie queries your live transaction stream instantly.
Drill-Down Requests
When Gennie provides an answer, you can follow up:
You: "What were sales yesterday?" Gennie: "$4,502.50, up 12% from last week." You: "Break it down by category." Gennie: "Food: $3,200, Bar: $1,100, Merch: $202.50. Bar sales are trending up." You: "Which server sold the most wine?" Gennie: "Michael S. sold $450 in wine (15 bottles)."
Privacy & Security
Gennie only has access to your restaurant's data. All financial queries are protected by your role permissions.
- Managers: Can see sales/labor.
- General Managers: Can see P&L.
- Owners: Full access.
Gennie learns from your corrections. If she misinterprets a menu item ("Burger" vs "Berger"), you can say "I meant the Classic Burger", and she will remember for next time.
