Catering Menus

Create specialized menus for catering orders.

Overview

Catering menus are separate from your regular menu and include:

  • Per-person pricing - Price based on guest count
  • Package deals - Bundled offerings
  • Minimum quantities - Order minimums per item
  • Lead time requirements - Advance ordering rules
  • Seasonal menus - Holiday and special event menus

Creating a Catering Menu

  1. Go to Catering > Menus
  2. Click Create Menu
  3. Enter details:
    • Menu Name (e.g., "Corporate Lunch")
    • Description
    • Availability (dates/seasons)
    • Minimum order (guests or amount)
  4. Save menu

Organize items into categories:

Adding Catering Items

  1. Go to Catering > Menus > Select menu
  2. Click Add Item
  3. Configure:
    • Item Name
    • Description (detailed for proposals)
    • Category
    • Pricing model (per-person, per-unit)
    • Price tiers (if volume discounts)
    • Minimum quantity
    • Lead time (hours/days advance notice)
    • Photo (for proposals)

Seasonal & Special Menus

Creating Seasonal Menus

  1. Go to Catering > Menus
  2. Click Create Menu
  3. Set Availability:
    • Date range (e.g., Nov 15 - Dec 31)
    • Name (e.g., "Holiday Catering")
  4. Add seasonal items
  5. Publish when ready

Linking to Regular Menu

Using Regular Menu Items

Import items from your regular menu:

  1. Go to Catering > Menus > Add Item
  2. Click Import from Menu
  3. Select items
  4. Adjust pricing for catering
  5. Set minimums and lead times
