How to place your order using the self-service kiosk.

Getting Started

Starting Your Order

  1. Tap the screen to begin
  2. Select Dine In or To Go
  3. Start browsing the menu

Browsing the Menu

Categories

Tap category tabs to browse:

  • Popular: Most ordered items
  • Burgers: Hamburgers, sandwiches
  • Sides: Fries, appetizers
  • Drinks: Beverages
  • Desserts: Sweet treats

Viewing Item Details

  1. Tap any item
  2. See full description
  3. View nutritional info
  4. Check ingredients
  5. See allergy warnings

Filtering Options

Tap Filter to see items that match:

  • Vegetarian
  • Vegan
  • Gluten-free
  • Dairy-free
  • Nut-free

Adding Items to Cart

Simple Item

  1. Tap the item
  2. Tap Add to Cart
  3. Item added with default options

Customizing Items

  1. Tap the item
  2. Make your selections:
    • Size: Small, Medium, Large
    • Add-ons: Extra cheese, bacon
    • Remove: No onions, no pickles
    • Sides: Choose your side
  3. Tap Add to Cart

Special Instructions

  1. On item detail screen
  2. Tap Special Instructions
  3. Type your request
  4. Tap Done

Example: "Extra crispy fries please"


Modifying Your Order

View Cart

Tap the Cart icon (top right) to see:

  • All items added
  • Customizations
  • Item prices
  • Current total

Edit an Item

  1. Open your cart
  2. Tap the item
  3. Make changes
  4. Tap Update

Remove an Item

  1. Open your cart
  2. Swipe item left
  3. Or tap item, then Remove

Change Quantity

  1. Open your cart
  2. Use + / - buttons
  3. Or tap quantity and type

AI Recommendations

The kiosk suggests items based on your order:

Upsell Suggestions

After adding a burger:

"Add fries and a drink for just $2 more?"

  • Tap Yes to add
  • Tap No Thanks to skip

Combo Detection

If you add items separately:

"Make it a combo and save $1.50!"

Based on what others order:

"Customers who ordered this also enjoyed..."


Checkout Process

Review Order

  1. Tap Checkout
  2. Review all items
  3. Check total with tax
  4. Make any last changes

Add Tip (if enabled)

  1. Select tip percentage
  2. Or tap Custom for specific amount
  3. Or No Tip

Choose Receipt

  • Email: Enter your email
  • Print: Paper receipt
  • Text: Enter phone number
  • None: No receipt

Payment Options

Credit/Debit Card

  1. Tap Pay with Card
  2. Insert, tap, or swipe on terminal
  3. Follow terminal prompts
  4. Wait for approval

Mobile Wallet

  1. Tap Apple Pay or Google Pay
  2. Hold phone near terminal
  3. Authenticate on your phone
  4. Payment completes

Gift Card

  1. Tap Gift Card
  2. Swipe card or enter number
  3. If balance covers total, done
  4. If not, pay remaining with another method

Loyalty Points

If you have points:

  1. Sign in or scan loyalty card
  2. See available points
  3. Apply points to order
  4. Pay any remaining balance

Order Confirmation

Order Number

After payment:

  • Large order number displayed
  • Remember this number
  • Used to pick up your food

Pick Up

  1. Wait for your number to be called
  2. Or watch the order status screen
  3. Pick up at designated counter

Accessibility Features

Large Text Mode

  1. Tap Accessibility icon
  2. Enable Large Text
  3. All text becomes bigger

High Contrast

  1. Tap Accessibility icon
  2. Enable High Contrast
  3. Screen shows black/white/yellow

Screen Reader

Accessibility

Kiosks support Android TalkBack screen reader, high contrast mode, and large text. Tap the accessibility icon at the top of the screen to enable these features at any time.

  1. Device reads screen aloud
  2. Tap items to hear description
  3. Double-tap to select

Audio Feedback

Every action has sound:

  • Item added: Confirmation sound
  • Error: Alert sound
  • Payment complete: Success sound

Language Options

Change language:

  1. Tap language icon (top right)
  2. Select your language
  3. Menu updates immediately

Available languages vary by location.

On-Screen Help

Tap the ? icon for:

  • How to order guide
  • Allergen information
  • Contact staff button

Call for Assistance

Tap Call Staff if you need help:

  • Staff member will come to assist
  • No need to leave your place

Start Over

To cancel and start fresh:

  1. Tap Start Over
  2. Confirm cancellation
  3. Return to welcome screen

Tips for Best Experience

Check allergen information before ordering by tapping any item to view its full ingredient list. If you have food allergies, always verify with staff for the most current information.

  1. Review your cart before checkout
  2. Save your receipt for issues
  3. Note your order number
  4. Ask staff if unsure about anything

Troubleshooting

Screen not responding

  • Wait a moment, then tap again
  • Call staff if it persists

Payment declined

  • Try a different card
  • Check your card balance
  • Ask staff for help

Item missing from menu

  • Item may be unavailable (86'd)
  • Check another category
  • Ask staff about availability
