Lane Management & Voice AI
Modern drive-thrus are complex logistical machines. The Lane Manager system provides a centralized view of your vehicle stack, integrating Voice AI orders with kitchen production for seamless Dual-Lane operations.
Dual-Lane Architecture
For locations with "Lane A" and "Lane B":
- Split Stack: The POS clearly separates orders by lane.
- Merge Logic: Provides a "Zipper Merge" view for the payment window, showing exactly which car is next (e.g., Red SUV - Lane B followed by Blue Sedan - Lane A).
- Camera Association: Uses license plate recognition (ALPR) to tag the order. If the Red SUV changes order, the ticket follows the car.
Voice AI Ordering
Enable "Hey Maximus" to take orders automatically at the speaker post.
How it Works
- Greeting: The AI greets the guest upon vehicle detection loop trigger.
- Order Taking: Parses complex requests ("Burger no onions, sub fries for rings").
- Upsell: Automatically suggests addons based on the order ("Add a Coke for $1?").
- Confirmation: Repeats the order and sends it to the KDS immediately.
Staff Override
- Monitor Mode: Staff can listen in via headset.
- Takeover: Tap "Take Over" on the POS to instantly mute the AI and speak to the guest directly.
Metrics & Speed
Real-time speedometers on the POS header show:
- Time at Speaker: Target under 45s.
- Time at Window: Target under 60s.
- Total Time: Target under 180s.
- Kitchen Expo Screen: A dedicated KDS screen for the "Bagger" that highlights orders approaching the window red if they aren't ready.
